Summary: A war of attrition determined the first race with an inverted qualifying order which made for some intense early action. Jamie and Chris ran strong leading at different points of the race. Craig spun Chris out of turn 4 before taking over. Chris blew out his drive tire and Jamie broke his drive wheel while leading. Wesley has a reliable kart for a good points day with a second place finish. Craig overcame a leaking fuel tank, sputtering carb and broken seat. Chris Pullen had his clutch disintegrate and parts went everywhere. Joe's engine quit running and he didnt get it restarted. Jerry suffered the worst though when his engine blew up, and it was a great motor which qualified him in second.

Summary: A record nine cautions in the Garris Motorsport 50 punctuated with the first time a kart has turned over was the story in race 2 of Series 16. Three drivers led with Chris Garris leading lap one before Jerry Garris led three laps. Craig Garris and Jerry swapped the lead before Craig took over on lap ten to lead the remainder of the event. Jamie Prevette worked his way to second when Jerry suffered chain troubles. Chris blew out another tire in the debut of his new #81 Ford. Two first time drivers, Keith Church and Tim Childress, finished third and sixth respectively and they each spun three times. Church took advantage of attrition to grab a top three finish in his first race. Chris Garris, who had taken over the driving chores for Jerry Garris in the #80 on lap 35, took a nasty tumble off turn 2 when he, Church and Wesley Harrold got together. The kart went over onto its side and was pushed a short distance. Chris suffered several bruises and was burned by the exhaust pipe. Wesley Harrold spun three times to contribute to the yellow flags, but had a fourth place finish to be only one point out of second place in the point standings. Jerry Garris has a very fast kart this series but chain troubles have ruined his finishes.

Pole--3-Jamie Prevette 7.64 seconds

Summary:Jamie Prevette announced that his kart is back with the muscle that is expected from him with a pole-winning lap of 7.64 seconds. However, on lap 2 the engine went sour and he finished laps down. Craig Garris was strong and reliable continuing his dominating run this series as he led 49 laps of the Lowes 50. Continuing a good series is Wesley Harrold with a second place finish, this time in the #6 RealTree Chevrolet. Claiming his second straight third place finish is Tiger Racing's rookie driver, Keith Church. Fourth was Jamie and fifth was Chris Garris in the #81 Ford, who had chain trouble.

Pole--3-Jamie Prevette 7.58 seconds (New Track Record)

Summary:Craig Garris claimed his fourth and most impressive win thus far in Series 16 on October 2nd. Jamie Prevette set a new track qualifying record of 7.58 seconds in the Tyson Chevrolet but never led a lap as Garris beat him to the front. Prevette followed him closely until the last five laps when Garris pulled away a few karts length. Prevette lost the handle as the tires overheated late in the race. The record for most consecutive wins is five, which Jamie Prevette holds and has stood since 1995. Garris will be trying to equal the feat and also score his 50th career win in the NiteWatch 50 on October 15th. The RealTree Chevy of Wesley Harrold who came into the event second in points suffered heavy damage in turn 2 after spinning by himself into the path of Keith Church. Church almost turned over but was able to continue. Church had already lost several laps after front end damage had to be repaired in a collision with Jerry Garris. Jerry lost time when his coil wire came off under green. Chris Garris had a fairly uneventful race driving the #81, but was lackluster in a third place run having been lapped under green for the first time in many, many years. Will the Valvoline #6 return in the next race?

Summary: A smaller field than usual was present October 15th, but the racing was no less exciting with fan favorite Jerry "That's Awesome" Garris taking the win though he had an engine somewhat less awesome than usual. Keith Church comes one step closer to victory lane with a second place finish in the continually improving Havoline Ford. Rounding out the foursome was Chris Garris with chain trouble and Wesley Harrold with wheel problems. Chris drove the #81 and Wesley the #5.

Pole--21-Craig Garris 7.62 seconds

Summary:Craig Garris took his 50th win after winning the pole on October 30th, but not before needing a late caution to top off his fuel tank. Keith Church ran second and led many laps early before Garris took the lead after getting much needed gas. Wesley Harrold decided to take on fuel also with about 15 laps left, but Church did not. Unfortunately, this cost him a second place finish as his kart began sputtering and Harrold made the pass and claimed the spot. Jerry Garris brought his #9 Interstate HVAC Dodge low-center-of-gravity kart, which handled well but was a little off the pace and suffered chain trouble. The race was clean as Jerry spun once in a single kart incident, and Craig and Wesley got together in turn 2. Craig seems to have already locked up the point title with four races remaining in Series 16, and can set the record for consecutive wins if he can do it one more time.

Finish Points Qual.Pts. 1. 82-Craig Garris 50 5 2. 3-Jamie Prevette -1 40 4 3. 5-Wesley Harrold -3 35 3
Pole--82-Craig Garris 7.54 seconds (New Record)

Summary:For one reason or another, the field was small with only 3 karts competing in the Brand X Motors 50 on March 12th, but two records were set by Craig Garris. The track qualifying record was set with a 7.54 second lap, with the previous mark at 7.58 held by Jamie Prevette. Garris had driven the #21 kart all series, but ran the #82 (which was the "backup" kart) that has been campaigned by Keith Church this series. Church recently added new style right side wheels and this must have been the missing element to put the old Havoline Ford in the record books again. Prevette and Wesley Harrold ran second and third as Garris set his second record of the day with his sixth straight win which broke Prevette's record. Prevette had won five straight two different times. Harrold continues to be second in points with a consistent series. The only caution came with six laps to go when Jamie spun to bunch up the field for the final 5 laps.

Pole--3-Jamie Prevette 7.58 seconds

Summary: The Wilkes FOP 50 saw another small field of karts with 4, but the racing was close for about 15 laps. Jamie Prevette took the pole with a 7.58 lap, one of the fastest ever recorded. Jerry Garris tried the LCG chassis experimental #9 Dodge, but had chain problems which sidelined him early. Craig Garris went back to the #21 Motorcraft Ford while Keith Church drove the other half of Tiger Racing, the #82 Havoline Ford. Jamie Prevette's #3 Tyson Chevrolet led early before 5 laps of heavy pressure from Craig Garris resulted in taking the lead. Prevette then suffered a broken wheel just afterward, ending his day. Jerry Garris had chain trouble and Keith Church at lap 36 had his engine blow a head gasket, leaving only one kart running and giving Craig Garris his 7th straight win.

Summary:The Merritt Machine 50 saw two karts powered by engines from the race namesake finish one and two. It helped the race sponsor that only two karts started the race with Craig Garris taking his 57th career win. Jerry Garris returned with the #80 Interstate HVAC Dodge and the kart proved to be reliable and it ran well.

Finish Points Qual.Pts. 1. 3-Jamie Prevette 50 5 2. 80-Jerry Garris 40 3 3. 1-Keith Church 35 4 4. 5-Wesley Harrold -10 30 2
Pole--3-Jamie Prevette 7.74 seconds

Summary: Jamie Prevette wins the Rebel Clash Saturday, May 13th after taking the pole with a lap of 7.74 seconds. The win was his 30th in his long career. Prevette was never challenged, but behind him the action was for second between Wesley Harrold, Jerry Garris and Keith Church, with all 3 karts bumper to bumper and side by side for the better part of ten laps. Harrold spun in turn 4 while on the outside and his chain came off causing him to lose 5 laps. He would have lost a lot more, but on the restart Church made' the pass for second, but in the next corner got sideways and was literally ran over by Jerry Garris, which resulted in the first time anyone has ever had the whole body of a kart torn off. A red flag session followed, and Harrold repaired his problem to return. Garris and Church continued and the race settled down for the next 25 laps. Garris had a good distance between him and Church, but was caught with 2 laps to go. Church was letting it all hang out to try to take the spot, but spun out on the last lap. Craig Garris had claimed the series championship before the race was ran, and the only bad luck he had all series came in the practice session when the engine expired on the Havoline Ford.
