Chris broke a right rear axle and was blackflagged while running second (he actually gained speed and was not passed) ; another missed opportunity for Chris. Lonnie and Jerry barely misssed the errant wheel.
Jr gets under Lonnie going into turn 1; Jerry sees what going to happen and slows; Jr takes Lonnie to the wall, causing Lonnie to wreck; Lonnie takes exception to Jr's rough driving; Jerry invokes Rule 8 (Flagman Protocol) and aligns Lonnie second on the restart.
Roger breaks a right front C yoke. (Joe's misfortune has apparently found a new home).
Lonnie has a fuel pickup problem; Joe slows for Lonnie's hand signal; Jerry passes both on the white flag lap and goes from fourth to second with a faltering engine.

Joe's clutch fails and shortly, thereafter, Tom is out with a broken chain. Craig is still in the lead. Chris Rhodes lost an air filter and came into the pits for repairs. (unbeknowst to the field a driver change takes place with Chris Garris substituting for Chris Rhodes). Repairs are made and Chris G returns to the fray a 1/2 lap down.
Chris G spins trying to catch the field and brings out a caution. Craig's engine breaks and his bid for 3 in a row ends.
A two lap shootout ensues between Lonnie, Marc and Chris. Marc runs Chris up the wall as he tries to pass on the outside. Chris finally gets around Marc, but Lonnie has checked out and returned to Victory Lane after a lengthy absence.
Marc was given a 3rd place fininsh; Marc calls for a review of the tape. The tale of the tape revealed that Chris Rhodes had been lapped earlier and Marc was awarded a second place finish.
Another protest was lodged for weight on the #19 kart; but it was too late. Lonnie had left the building, 'er track.
Chris, Jerry and Gary had engine problems during hot laps and were not able to start the race.

Summary: Rebkart welcomes the participation of three new drivers: Jason Mahaffey, Justine Royal and Gary Knight. Jason was driving a kart from the fleet of karts owned by Lonnie Harrold. Jason did quite well in his debut with a second place finish. Chain problems slowed the #15 kart throughout the race. Justine Royal driving a kart that he purchased from former participatnts Marc and Roger and was involved in several crashes and had damage to the front end and finished fifth. Gary Knight experienced throttle problems with the #7 kart and was unable to start. Jr. tried to qualify the #13 kart, but was unable to because of axle problems. Timmy was disqualified because of tires.
After 2 unsuccesful tries to start the race in a double file the race was started in single file because of wrecks in turn 1 as everyone tried to win the race on the first lap. As the race began to 'shake out' Craig dominated the race and was never challenged and cruised to a 10-lap victory. The biggest margin of victory in Rebkart. Jerry was involved in a turn 1 melee and had a warped rear right axle and experienced clutch problems and lost 3 laps. Jamie was sidelined with chain problems. Justine was involved in numerous wrecks and scrapes with the turn 1 barrier. Jason lost several laps with chain problems, but was very competetive in his new kart.

Summary: Qualifying returned to Rebkart and Jamie Prevette set the inaugural record at 8.17 seconds. Jamie also returned to Victory Lane after a 3 year absence.
As usual, the beginning of the race saw several caution flags with Chris Rhodes, Tom Keith, Jason and Jerry involved in most of the cautions. After a few laps; Jamie, Lonnie and Craig had a torrid battle for the lead. Jamie began to assert his kart to the front; Lonnie and Craig battled for second. Jamie had a commanding lead and ran upon lap traffic, Chris Rhodes. Rhodes takes Jamie into the outside wall on the front stretch and Lonnie and Craig freight-train Jamie. Jamie regains the lead and Craig and Lonnie are side by side going into turn 3; Craig goes onto 2 wheels and Lonnie goes into the wall.
Craig slows after the contact and at the start/finish line, Jerry, at full throttle, hits the back of Craig's kart; probably the hardest hit ever to have occurred in Rebkart. The collision bent Craig's rear bumper and Jerry's left-front bumper. Craig was momentarily dazed, but was able to continue.
On a restart, Jason and Jerry get together on the backstretech; Jerry spins and smacks Lonnie's drive wheel and breaks the chain. Lonnie goes to the pits. Craig tries Jamie one more time on the last restart, but is unable to make a challenge. Jamie cruises to victory.

Summary: Craig started on the pole with Jamie qualifying a close second. On the initial start Craig jumped to about a 10 kart lead with Jerry passing Jamie. After a caution, Jamie passed Craig and they dueled for the lead for the remainder of the race.
Jamie would pass Craig and then Craig would use track positions of other karts to pass Jamie. These two drivers proved that side by side racing and clean passing can be done on Rebkart’s concrete track.
Two rookies, Tom Keith and Rick Monroe continue getting faster and are getting more accomplished at keeping their karts under control. About .4 of a second less in lap speed will place them as contenders.
Jerry continues the “curse of slow joe” bad luck by having a stuck throttle and had to park the 88 kart.

Summary:
Jamie sets a new qualifying record as he blisters the concrete track at 7.98 seconds. The first sub 7 second lap.
Race 8 began with Jamie beating Craig to turn one and Jerry was able to take advantage by passing Craig for second; Rick spun in turn two and caution slowed the field. On the restart Craig was able to dip under Jerry in turn one and regained second; Jamie and Craig set a torrid pace for about 7 laps; Jerry blew his engine (overheating) and finished fifth with a fast kart.
Jamie was able to lap Rick and Timmy and created the days' only controversary as Jerry limped off of the track, Jamie lapped Timmy at start finish line by about 3 feet. Jamie slipped a few laps later and Craig was able to pass Jamie; Jamie quickly recovered and passed Craig out of turn 4; as they went into turn 1, side-by-side, Craig looped the 82 kart and created a caution; Timmy, not familiar with Rebkart rules, thought he had regained the lap and had a discussion with the flagman and resolved the issue. It was finally sorted out and Craig made several attempts at passsing Jamie; but the 29 kart is presently the class of Rebkart and Jamie cruised to another victory.

Summary: Chris substituted for Jamie in the 29 kart and had pole position; Timmy has much impoved the #8 kart and positioned it for second place.
Chris, Craig and Jerry was able to pass Timmy in turn 1; Chris took a commanding lead; Jerry's kart was not handling well and quickly was down 2 laps; as Chris was attempting to lap Timmy, they wrecked out of turn 4; Timmy had a bent axle and could not continue; Craig assumed the lead and Jerry was able to regain a lap; on the restart, Chris attempted to pass Craig in turn one and were side-by-side, as they lifted, Jerry took advantage of the ensuing wreck and regained his second lap; Craig regained the lead.
Chris had another wreck and broke the pull rope trying to restart and had to park the very fast 29 kart; Jerry thought he had the lead, but the flagman had Craig in first place. Jerry's throttle bolt came out and he was only able to run at about 1/2 throttle. Craig cruised to another win.
A lot of bumping, shoving and slam bang action usually involving Jerry and his two sons, Craig and Chris. Ole Sundance may be getting a little long in the tooth and cast a longer shadow, but he still can compete with the 'youngsters'.

Summary: Race 10 had a small field, but qualifying was separated by only .05 seconds, Jerry debuted and shook down the new 80 kart in preparation for the coming Series 14.
Jamie let Craig lead the initial lap and all 3 karts were in close competetion; after about 12 laps, Craig's fuel tank came off and he was through for the day: Jerry's new 80 kart is much improved over the old 88 kart and led for most of the race; with about 10 laps to go Jamie past Jerry and cruised to another win.
Craig returned to Championship Form. Jamie returned to Rebkart and became a dominant driver. Seventeen drivers competed for the Series Championship, a new record, but in the end the two legends of Rebkart prevailed.
Congratulations to Craig on another Championship. And a big welcome back to Jamie as he served notice that Series 14
will pass thru the 29 team.
